Fox Sports and BUF have teamed up once again with the release of "Engine City." It is the latest marketing tool to show off the 2008 NASCAR on Fox season. Co-creators Mark Denyer-Simmons and Jason Scott worked hand-in-hand with BUF to bring their vision to life. It was eight weeks in the making, with the end product airing during this year’s telecast of the Super Bowl.
BUF, long known for its artistic prowess, used a variety of different software accompanied by some heavy lifting.
To go along with the 3000 hours of rendering for 42 shots using 60 machines, BUF unveiled its new rendering software Brender. For the 2D and 3D work, BUF used its home-grown Bstudio and Bpaint. For final output and conform, Autodesk Flame version 2007 SP4 was used.
