Calling your new product line a “never-before-seen approach to encoding workflow management” is a heady claim, but Inlet Technologies has developed a rep for some pretty solid products. Let's take a brief look at Armada, which debuted at NAB (although it doesn't ship until December). The hardware/software device — which includes the Fathom and Spinnaker products — will analyze files as they're being imported and immediately suggest optimal output parameters. The system is smart enough to allow you to encode on a single node or quickly turn around and move everything to a rendering farm without any further setup. After encoding, it can encrypt, package, and publish files that pass QC testing to multiple locations.
