Flexible color correction
Color correction capabilities built into today's NLEs offer greater control to editors than ever before. But since the grading capability is built into the app, users have to wait until the next product rev for any added chops. The new version 2 of Color Finesse from Synthetic Aperture solves that quandary. While it's still available as a plug-in for programs such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Final Cut Pro, version 2 runs as a standalone app. Unique features of this version include a full project timeline, the ability to import and export Final Cut Pro XML sequences, and three-up and single frame mode to show grading in the context of adjacent clips.
