Edirol VC-200HD and VC-300HD
Editing suites shouldn’t be tied up to perform format-conversion tasks. That’s why Roland’s new Edirol VC-200HD and VC-300HD are designed to take in almost any source signal at any resolution and convert it to a new desired resolution (up to 1080p) and signal type. The two models perform bidirectional conversion and scaling between component HD and SD, DVI, DV, HDV, and, with the VC-300HD, SD-SDI and HD-SDI. An SD component signal, for example, can be output as a 1080i signal via HD-SDI, as HDV to a deck, and as DVI for monitoring—simultaneously. The VC series also embeds the audio into the HDV/DV stream, and the VC-300HD embeds up to four audio channels into the HD/SD-SDI stream. Audio delay adjustments are executed in frame or millisecond increments.
