Before applying a Magic Bullet look, or any number of other video effects, proper color correction of footage is essential. Colorista is the new color correction plug-in from Red Giant Software. Colorista is designed for editors who want to work quickly and effectively to make a project's color look its best. The software plugs into Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro; Apple Motion and Final Cut Pro; and Avid Xpress DV, Media Composer, and Symphony. Colorista 1.0 includes familiar color controls like Lift, Gamma, and Gain color wheels; saturation and exposure; and shadow and highlight levels. The DeepColor RT engine in Colorista allows realtime playback of projects up to 720p using your system's GPU, preserving quality up to 10-bit.
