According to NewTek, SpeedEdit can claim the title of “World's Fastest Video Editor” because it works natively — avoiding transcoding steps used in many other pro NLEs — and it allows you to mix and match popular formats such as AVI, QuickTime, MPEG-2, and HDV — all in realtime. The resolution-independent video editing app features realtime, full-resolution HD previews, realtime upconversion and downconversion, CG-post animated titling, white-balance correction, realtime-interpolated slow motion, and realtime three-wheel color correction.
