In the tough postproduction business climate, companies that falter often disappear forever. That's what seemed to happen to Media 100; the longtime NLE maker hit bottom a couple of years ago and was then picked up by Optibase, and little more was heard. Well, it's back. Now part of Boris FX, the company has created a software-only version of Media 100 sw, which uses media captured by Media 100i or Media 100 HD systems to edit, composite, mix, and export to DVD or the Web.
