New storage and presentation technology, like Grass Valley's hard drive-based Turbo iDDR, deliver capabilities once available only in much pricier gear. But outside of moving video over a network, for example, what options do you have to store or move files without inexpensive videotape? A recently announced OEM and joint technology development between Grass Valley and Iomega found a solution. GV will integrate Iomega's REV removable hard disk technology into a number of products, starting with its ProLine pro-AV products. High data transfer rates of up to 25MBps makes backups speedier. With 35GB of storage, REV disks can hold more than two hours of 25MBps SD or HD video and are priced less than $60.
