GT 062 with RAID 1
With ever larger and faster drives now part of the production mix, making sure data is secure is more important than ever. At AES 2007, Glyph offered a solution with the introduction of a RAID 1-enabled version of its already-shipping GT 062 array. While RAID 1 cuts down raw storage, it does offer the security of data redundancy and realtime backup because it writes the same data to the two hard drives at the same time. If you do suffer a drive failure, you’ll be happy it’s still available on the remaining drive. Also new to the GT 062: Glyph Manager software, a utility for Mac OS X and Windows XP that configures the GT 062 in one of the four drive modes.
