Amilo Graphic Booster

Working with most laptops has meant putting up with less graphics horsepower, at least when compared to desktop workstations. Now, with products debuting that use ATI's XGP (eXternal Graphics Platform) technology, that's about to change. Fujitsu-Siemens, one of the first companies to offer product with the new technology, recently introduced the Amilo GraphicBooster. The outboard graphics-processing box connects to the company's Amilo Notebook Sa 3650 via a proprietary 4Gbps PCIe 2.0 connector. Notebook users benefit from multiple monitor support, Blu-ray video coding and playback, and increased graphics performance for video editing.
