Avid editors who want to remain competitive have a new option from Boris FX: keep more work inhouse. The new Boris Blue 2.0 integrated effects package includes an Avid AVX 2.0 plug-in option along with many new image treatment filters. The AVX support allows Avid editors to execute work that is traditionally done in high-end, standalone effects apps within their own editing environment. Boris Blue 2.0 enables the creation of elaborate titles, transitions, and other 3D elements (including imported 3D models and particle emitters) right in the Avid timeline.
