Encoding Solution for Uncom-pressed HD Video
Kulabyte gained attention at NAB for its innovative time-slicing software that enables an encode speed increase of up to 16X, according to the company. Around IBC, the company announced an OEM agreement with Bluefish444, the maker of audio and video processing gear, to embed Kulabyte's TimeSlice technology within Bluefish444's bundled Symmetry software. The result? Processor scalability, faster-than-realtime encoding, and transcoding gear for uncompressed HD and SD video in a variety of formats including DV, AVI, MPEG-2, MOV, H.264, WMV, and FLV. The software uses Bluefish444 video cards to handle uncompressed video I/O.
