DeckLink HD Studio

At IBC, Blackmagic announced DeckLink HD Studio, its new capture card that offers both analog component and HDMI capture and playback. HDMI is an emerging digital standard for uncompressed video display — the newly announced Sony V1U camera features HDMI output (see Shoot Tools, p. 30). Supporting Apple Final Cut Pro, Apple Shake, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Autodesk Combustion, the 10-bit capture and playback device also features XLR audio I/O and an RS-422 connection for device control. The DeckLink HD Studio card requires a PCI Express connection with the host Mac or PC.
