Version 5.5 software for Blackmagic Design's Multibridge Extreme brings 2K resolution support to the company's popular all-in-one bidirectional converter that connects via PCI Express. The support is keyed to Apple Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0, delivering realtime 10-bit RGB playout to these popular NLEs. The new 5.5 software driver also features 2K realtime preview for compositing and paint apps such as Adobe After Effects 7.0, Combustion, Shake, and Photoshop. 2K video and graphics can be mapped pixel-for-pixel on Apple or Dell 30in. flat-panel displays.
