Halide: Film Look System
Amber Visual touts its first Adobe After Effects plug-in for its ease of use and efficiency. The company claims the plug-in applies a progressive film look to video productions at twice the speed of its competitors. Color fidelity is another key aspect of Halide: Film Look. Employing the proprietary Halide color space, the plug-in facilitates image manipulation because of its wide luminance range of billions of shades per channel. To preserve highlight and shadow detail, affected frames are stored in a proprietary HDR color space and processed in a nonlinear fashion.
