Live 6.0
As DJs know, Ableton Live is not only a software program but also a performance genre. With its clip-based workflow, Live allows you to remix the structure of musical pieces on the fly. Ableton didn't count on audio post pros taking to this improvisational style for creating their compositions. But in seeing this response, the company added MIDI functionality in versions 4 and 5. Released this month, version 6.0 finally gets QuickTime support, so those scoring videos can join the party and build audio tracks live as their video plays.
