WomenStories’ Initial Discovery and Diagnosis of Breast Cancer

The “Initial Discovery and Diagnosis of Breast Cancer” podcast is a part of a monthly podcast series produced by WomenStories, a Buffalo, N.Y.-based nonprofit organization offering informational psychosocial videos for women newly diagnosed with breast cancer. The productions were shot with Ikegami HC-400 and Sony BVP70IS cameras and edited on a DPS Velocity system at Campos Group and Orange in Buffalo. John Gold’s “Cactusflower” Video

Creators of the video for singer-songwriter John Gold’s song “Cactusflower” wanted an organic feel for the piece. They also wanted to edit the video to convey the intimacy of Gold’s song as performed live.

Pixel Corps “Big Freeze” Short

Pixel Corps “Big Freeze” Short Twenty Pixel Corps members teamed up to do their version of “The Big Freeze” set in Rio. The Pixel Corps Rio team (representing 26 artists in nine states and five countries) won in the Hybrid Animation Category of the competition issued by CGSociety (another well-known VFX community site).
