Sonic Foundry is now shipping its fourth-generation Mediasite rich media web communications product, the Mediasite RL400. As a standalone presentation recorder, the Mediasite RL400 allows users to instantly capture and replay presentations, without a backend server connection, and immediately burn them to a CD. For more expanded capabilities, users can add a Mediasite Server to enable live broadcasting, content management, and web publishing. The dual-channel recording feature is based on realtime media processing technology that captures virtually any type of analog and digital output. Other capabilities include VersaVisual, the ability to capture multi-source, multi-format visual content and provide high-resolution playback with automatic visual index; a server-free recording mode; and more.
