Five-year warranty on drives. Price: TBA
Barracuda 7200.11 1.5TB
While some people feel the move to ever-larger disk drives might be more dangerous than welcome — the larger the drive, the more you'll lose when it goes south — the trend continues. Leading disk manufacturer Seagate delivers the first 1.5TB drive this month. As the company has it, the move from 1TB to 1.5TB is the “largest-capacity hard-drive jump in the more-than-half-century history of hard drives.” The Barracuda 7200.11 1.5TB hard drive — the 11th generation of Seagate's flagship line of drives for desktop PCs — is joined by new notebook-size 2.5in., 1/2TB, 5400rpm and 7200rpm drives: the Momentus 5400.6 and Momentus 7200.4.
