Duo Pro Drive
What could be new about another drive manufacturer turning out another RAID array? Fabrik’s Duo Pro Drive adds an interesting twist by selling its combo USB 2.0 and 3Gbs eSATA drives bundled with local and web-based backup. Fabrik should know backup; the company includes veterans from Maxtor, which first popularized simple-to-use backup gear in 2001 with its OneTouch line. The RAID 0- and RAID 1-capable Duo Pro drive (Fabrik also makes non-RAID versions) includes a thermostatically controlled fan, power surge protection, and a stackable design. Its eSata II write speed is rated at 856Mbs. After a one-time setup process, the drive automatically backs up new/changed files every 2 hours either locally or to Fabrik’s web-accessed server farm.
