Digital Rapids CarbonHD 1.0 software, for example, runs on the company's DRC-5500 capture hardware, adding playout capabilities, format conversion, and DDR functionality such as SD/HD recording and editing. As a turnkey combo of hardware and software, CarbonHD offers some useful integration, supporting RS422 deck control, GPI triggers, scheduled recording, and a metadata publishing and logging tool that helps to automate and organize production workflow.
