10GbE networked storage for Mac
Even though Apple's Final Cut Pro continues to grow in popularity, facilities that want to create collaborative editing storage have had a slim number of choices. At last month's Macworld, Apace Systems and Small Tree Communications introduced a combo of products to deliver a 10GbE (Gigabit Ethernet) networked storage system for Mac-based workgroups. Apace's Jeanclaude Toma describes the system as offering higher performance and a simpler file-based workflow when compared to Apple's Xsan Fibre Channel server.
