HD-R1 stereo audio recorder
Anyone involved in advising facilities and others about permanent audio installations will be interested in hearing about Tascam's introduction of its solid-state HD-R1 stereo audio recorder into that market. The 1RU-high, rackmountable device features mic inputs with selectable phantom power and balanced outputs with both XLR and Euroblock terminals. The HD-R1 records 44.1kHz/48kHz, 16-bit/24-bit PCM, or MP3 files to CompactFlash media. Also on tap: S/PDIF digital I/O, unbalanced RCA input and outputs, front-panel rotary input level controls, a headphone jack with level control, and a variety of playback modes.
