Mihai Bodea Tatulea is a DOP with 10 years of experience in photography (both film and digital) and a B.A. in both cinematography and graphic arts. Mihai has shot 35mm and 16/S16mm shorts that have won prizes and been shown at international festivals in London; Milan, Italy; and Rotterdam, Netherlands. Mihai has experience working on feature films and shorts, TV documentaries, music videos, and commercials. Mihai’s long term objective is to keep working and gain more experience as a cinematographer. A shorter term goal would be to shoot TV feature-length documentaries.
Mihai’s Reel-Exchange profile features an independent S16mm short called Acasa, as well as a demo reel that includes school shorts, indie shorts, and excerpts from a medium-length TV documentary. The footage was shot on Fujifilm and Kodak filmstock using 35mm and S16mm cameras. Mihai also shoots also HDV using a Sony HVR-V1E. When snapping on-set photography, Mihai uses a Nikon 35mm still camera, Minolta VIF exposure meter, and DSLR camera.
