David Jimenez is a 3D animation artist that enjoys pushing the boundaries artistically as well as technically in order to best serve the project at hand. A recent graduate from the 3D Animation and Visual Effects program at the Vancouver Film School, David specializes in modeling. His 3D skills include high and low polygonal modeling, organic and hard body modeling, painted and photo-based texturing, UV mapping and map creation, lighting and rendering with mental images' mental ray renderer, and timeline and node-based compositing.
His Reel-Exchange profile contains a demo reel titled The Burden, which is a showcase for his modeling skills. David is available to work in many different media, including features, shorts, commercials, videogames, corporate video, web video, and educational/training video. He uses Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Flash, Encore DVD, Autodesk Maya, 3ds Max, Softimage|XSI, The Foundry Nuke, Pixologic ZBrush, and headus UV Layout.
