Ross Video has announced a new partner, Claratech, specializing in digital video fiber-optic conversion. This technology will be incorporated into the newly launched openGear product line.
openGear is an open frame standard based on the modular backplane openGear 2RU rackframe, which can house up to 10 card modules of any type. openGear modules are available from a selection of openGear partners, allowing customers the flexibility to pick the best module for their application. Customers will no longer be locked into one manufacturer’s frame standard and modules for their terminal equipment solutions.
openGear also provides the platform for a web-based control system that allows quick and easy monitoring and control of openGear frames and modules on the network.
