The Division of Libraries at New York University (NYU) seeks Operations Supervisor to supervise in-house operations and production services of the Television Center. The operations Supervisor will implement schedule of facilities for classes, video, and new media productions, post-productions, NYU-TV operations, teleconferences, broadband transmission and web-casting services; resolve scheduling conflicts based on needs, equipment, and staff availability; ensure quality control of services and operations; operate equipment when necessary; supervise reporting of accurate usage statistics for database and billing purposes. Serve as liaison with Television Center clients interpreting production requirements; develop production schedules and crew lists; supervise scheduling, packing, delivery and pick-up of equipment; and serve as on-site supervisor to ensure quality control.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related area and 3+ years experience working in a TV and new media production/post-production facility or equivalent combination. Must include hands-on experience with television equipment, master control room operations, graphics creation, project coordination, and staff supervision. The candidate must possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to design and monitor work and ensure adherence to deadlines.

Video production, Post-production, or media facility, expertise in both network hardware and software, and knowledge of Photoshop CS, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Motion, DVD Studio Pro, Flash, and Streaming media a plus.
