Hollywood, CA--The Music Video Production Association (MVPA) is proud to reveal the nominees for the 12th Annual MVPA Awards, which recognize and honor the exceptional talent in various categories of music video production. The prestigious annual awards show is the only awards forum within the industry of music video production that recognizes the technical and creative artisans of the industry.
The gala ceremony will take place in Los Angeles, at the Orpheum Theatre, Thursday, May 8, 2003. Guests will include professionals from the music video industries: directors, editors, special effects artists, makeup artists, production houses, film companies, plus presenting the awards are musicians, actors, directors, celebrities, corporate executives, and media representatives.
"Amidst the seismic changes surrounding and involving our industry this year, the MVPA has grown as a foundation of support for the production community and for the creative excellence which continues to explode from video production companies. This years Awards, as it has drawn record-breaking interest from performers, attendees and submissions, is a credit to that creativity. We commend the thousands of videos that were submitted for consideration, and congratulate the nominees for standing out," said Pam Tarr, President of the MVPA.
The MVPA (www.mvpa.com) was created to recognize music video as an art form, ensuring that the industry maintains a high standard of professionalism and artistic excellence by honoring its visionaries through a selective panel of industry members. The nominees are selected and judged by their peers, who review hundreds of videos submitted for consideration. This year will mark the 12th Anniversary for the MVPA Annual Music Video Awards.
The Orpheum Theatre is located at 842 South Broadway, Los Angeles. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m., ceremony to begin at 7:30 p.m.
