Luxology expands training
Training is key in staying abreast of new technology and market trends. 3D animation and design software developer Luxology is well aware of this; it recently created a training division to keep the focus on artists' development. The company has announced the availability of two additional Luxology modo 302 video albums that provide step-by-step instruction on how to efficiently use modo software to model, paint, and render. Titled Concept Car and Cartoon Kid, the downloadable high-res videos are formatted for playback on Mac and PC systems. Each lesson offers approximately 90 minutes of instruction, and they are typically priced at $25 each.
Concept Car delves into an innovative workflow for rapidly creating a concept car by combining sculpting and traditional polygon/subdivision surface-modeling tools in modo 302. Cartoon Kid consists of five videos illustrating the process of using modo 302 to model a cartoon character based on original conceptual sketches that are provided as part of the training.
