Companies differ in their implementations of the next-generation 10Gb Ethernet (10GbE) technology slowly turning up in storage products designed for post. Network storage manufacturer BlueArc touts its 10GbE-connected Titan 2100 and Titan 2200 storage systems as the first products built from the chip level up that enable customers to attain the full potential of the high-speed network.
According to the company, much of the improvement comes via its 40Gbps backplane, said to deliver enough bandwidth to customers using 10GbE infrastructures to fully saturate the network connections. www.bluearc.com
