Going over to the Windows side

AJA Video has built a rep for turning out good Mac I/O gear, working closely with Apple over the years to develop optimized firmware and software.

Now, while some Mac heads might accuse the company of going over to the dark side, Grass Valley, Calif.-based AJA offers its first Windows XP products, the Xena LS and Xena LH video and audio I/O cards.

Xena LS supports SD capture and playback, while the LH version — which supports both SD and HD — comes in two flavors: Xena LH (PCI/PCI-X compatible) and LHe (PCIe compatible).

The cards ship with AJA's deck control, playback, and capture application, Machina. Also included are plug-ins for apps including Adobe After Effects, Autodesk Combustion, and Eyeon Fusion. www.aja.com
