Focus Enhancements Adds HX Series HD Video Switchers to HD Workflow Product Line-up

Focus Enhancements announced the latest addition to its line-up of enhanced HD workflow solutions. The new HX-1 and HX-2 high-definition video switchers provide broadcasters and video professionals with the highest quality switching and effects available today.

The HX series will be on display in the Focus Enhancements booth, 9.441, in the RAI Congress Centre Convention Center, in the Media Asset Management area.

The standalone and ultra-portable, four HD-SDI input HX-1 features active loop-through on all inputs for easy monitoring, as well as three dual HD-SDI outputs for program, preview, and video effects monitoring. The mix and wipe functionality of the HX-1 includes eight wipe patterns and adjustable effects such as soft edges, border size, and border color.

The HX-2 features eight HD-SDI inputs, in addition to two external DSK inputs and a self chromo key function. The HX-2 also offers switchable HD/SD operation, six separate outputs, auto or manual mix/wipe operation (with eight different wipe patterns) and a 2D DVE. Both models are ideally suited for demanding and space-constrained environments such as broadcast OB vans, studios, and rental houses.
