The 9th Annual DocuWeek Theatrical Documentary Showcase, which assists filmmakers in qualifying films for Academy Award consideration, kicked off with an opening night party hosted by the International Documentary Association at the ArcLight Hollywood on Thursday, Aug. 18. Director Noah Kadner was awarded the “Eye on Discovery Award” for Best Director at the Lake Tahoe/Reno International Film Festival on Aug. 30. Kadner received the award in recognition of his achievements on his first feature, Formosa.
