Out and About

Bob Turner, contributing editor of Video Systems, passed away in July. Turner was a buoyant, irrepressible writer. His sharp, knowledgeable observations on the industry he loved made him a welcome voice in the pages of Video Systems and Millimeter, as well as at events such as this SMPTE New York Editing Showcase June 1. The ninth annual Cine Gear Expo played host to three American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) seminars on June 3 and 4 at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, Calif.
