Wide angle converter

Century Optics

builds well-regarded zoom lenses and optical converters. But realizing that not all shooters could afford its popular series of wide-angle converters, the company went back to the drawing board. The result? Century figured out how to create a more affordable version of its popular .8X Wide Angle Converter. The converter comes in at a lower list price, but the quality glass is still there, the company claims. The lens attachment delivers the same .8X wide-angle conversion, but only for IF Pro-type lenses such as the 18X Canon IF Pro and 19X/20X Fujinon Pro Classics. One noticeable difference: The converter uses a round housing to trim weight and manufacturing costs. An 85mm clamp ring is also included.
