DVD and disk drive solution

The industrial video division of Pioneer Electronics offers a dedicated, stand-alone DVD recorder and disk drive combo that offers a more efficient method for authoring DVD-Video, according to the company. The PRV-LX1, shown at IBC 2003, not only does straightforward video and audio transfers to DVD but is the first standalone device to enable customizing of DVD menus and chapter points, says Erik Hagen, sales manager of Pioneer Europe's Multimedia Division. Features include a 120GB hard drive, DVD-R/RW drive (second drive optional), and multiple I/O (component, composite, S-Video, DV, two channel XLR, RCA, and coaxial digital audio output).
