Kano Technologies

says its new SureVault series delivers both compact size and ease of use, qualities not common in RAID arrays. The company's petite, plug-and-play systems come pre-formatted for either Macs or PCs. The SureVault Desktop RAID 5 Solution employs three IDE drives to deliver from 120GB to 600GB, with either USB 2.0 or FireWire 1394a connections. (A faster FireWire 1394b version delivers in August.) The SureVault Mirrored Desktop Solution, meanwhile, writes data simultaneously to two drives. Both drives employ an onboard controller for automatic setup and feature hot swappable drives.
