Faster, cheaper HD/HDV NLE
At NAB 2004, a number of manufacturers touted products for HDV. One offering came from Boxx Technologies, which has gained its rep in the high-end post and graphics markets. The company's HDV Pro editing workstation is the result of a new relationship with CineForm, the designers of Aspect HD compression software. Aspect HD's “virtually lossless” codec helps deliver four or more HD video (720p) streams for realtime editing, including transitions, effects, title and graphic overlays, and motion. The system captures directly from JVC's JY-HD10U and GR-HD1 camcorders and JVC's high-definition D-VHS deck over FireWire.
