What it does: The microphone's frequency response has been modified to provide broadcasters with very accurate sound. The internal shock mount of the M 58 dramatically reduces handling noise, and weight balancing allows journalists greater comfort during long interviews.
What: Graham-Patten Systems D/ESAM 8000
What it does: Signals the re-emergence of the GPS line of digital audio mixers; uses the Klotz VADIS mixing engine and routing system. This is the ideal mixer for broadcasters transitioning to multi-channel surround mixing.
What: Smart AV Smart Consoles Elite Series
What it does: Available in 48-, 72-, and 96-channel variants, the digital audio console line's real draw might be its ergonomic friendliness: a physical arc, within easy reach of an operator, spans the console. Fitted with touch sensors, it allows easy and intuitive access to any channel. A single touch brings as many as 800 controls within the operator's reach.

What it does: The selling point for the new 48-channel digital console is its price- to-performance ratio. Based on the DM-24, the DM-3200 adds more busses, effects, aux sends, and USB connectivity. Up to 6.1 surround panning is available, as well as the IF-FW/DM 24-channel FireWire interface card for computer mixing.
