Jan 5, 2007 11:22 AM
TV Magic will be hosting a workshop featuring affordable HD solutions on Thursday, Jan. 25, at the company's San Diego offices. The workshop will give customers from the broadcast and HD production and presentation markets the opportunity to learn about and explore cost-effective solutions for flexible, high-quality HD acquisition, production, and playout.
"We've reached a point in the evolution of the broadcast industry at which HD has become affordable, and this HD workshop will demonstrate for existing and prospective clients just how easy it can be to integrate HD-capable systems into their facilities and operations," said TV Magic president Stephen D. Rosen. "We'll be showcasing some of the newest and hottest HD products, many of which enable a straightforward HD upgrade without breaking the bank. Our knowledgeable engineering team will be available to answer questions about HD workflows and how we can design, build, or help customers update or upgrade their facilities."
Targeted to customers in the San Diego and Orange Country areas, the TV Magic HD workshop will highlight JVC's new ProHD GY-HD250U camcorder, capable of 60p capture and recording for professional recording. The compact, ergonomically designed camera also offers real 24p and 30p capture for digital cinematography. The new camcorder features a built-in HDV recording system and provides an uncompressed HD-SDI output that enables deployment in the field or in studio applications. For the January workshop, TV Magic has integrated the JVC camera with a JVC HD LCD monitor, a FOR-A HD switcher, a Canopus Edius HD editing system, and a Sanyo PLV-DS 100 HD projector.
The workshop begins at 10 a.m. and runs until 6 p.m. Those interested in attending the workshop are asked to sign up by Jan. 11, and replies may be made by e-mail to RSVP@tvmagic.tv. The San Diego TV Magic office is located at 8112 Engineer Road.
