Century Xtreme Fisheye HVR-Z1U
At NAB two years ago, Schneider created a lot of excitement among the extreme sports crowd with its Xtreme Fisheye. That model, demonstrated on a then-new Sony HVR-Z1U camcorder, distorts the barrel enough to provide an ultra-wide 160-degree horizontal view (180 degrees measured diagonally). Schneider recently introduced new versions of the Century Xtreme Fisheye that fit the Panasonic AG-HVX200 and DVX100A/B camcorders, with optic specs similar to those of the earlier fisheye. The Xtreme Fisheye locks neatly into the bayonet mount at the front of the lens. Schneider says that a model configured for the Canon XL H1 is coming soon.
