Artemis DV Pro
The Artemis DV Pro is a relatively new stabilization system for DV cameras. It's designed to be modular, and that includes the springset. A range of spring cartridges can support a variety of camcorders from smaller HDV models to 25lb. broadcast units. The Artemis is also designed to be tool-free. The camera plate is compatible with Sachtler heads for easy changeover to tripod shooting. Upper and lower clamps are molded from the same piece of aluminum for better stability, and its handgrip design allows one-handed “flying” of a stabilized camcorder. Balance is another key consideration: The handle, monitor mount (for 2.5in. and 3in. TFT monitors), and balance weights are all adjustible.
