GY-HD200 and GY-HD250U
This fall, JVC added two new members to its ProHD family of HDV camcorders. The GY-HD200 and GY-HD250U share many attributes with their predecessor, the HD100U/110U, such as the 1/3in. bayonet mount for interchangeable HD lenses, native progressive 1280×720 CCDs, and true 24p recording. The 200U adds 14-bit A-to-D, a new DSP, image inversion for use with prime lenses, and a new Super Encoder that enables 50p and 60p recording. The 250U has all that, and also features genlock, timecode I/O, and HD/SD-SDI output with embedded audio and timecode. On top of that, it's ready for a studio configuration via the optional KA-HD250 adapter.
