HVR-1500 VTR
Introduced alongside the new Z1U camcorder, Sony's new HDV deck is based on the design of the DSR-1500A half-rack DVCAM VTR. With its included HD-SDI output and optional AES/EBU I/O, Sony positions the HVR-1500 as a “bridge” deck between HDV capture and higher-end HD production. It's a step up from the existing Sony HVR-25 HDV deck, adding analog component I/O, DVCPRO 25 playback, and assemble and insert editing functions. The HVR-1500 records DVCAM, DV (SP), and HDV.
