AJ-HPM100 P2 mobile recorder
Dubbed the “P2 Mobile,” the AJ-HPM100 is the first recorder/player in Panasonic's P2 line of solid-state recording gear. With a six-slot P2 card reader, the unit seems vital for both ENG crews and long-form productions that employ HVX200 or HPX2000 camcorders — the HPM100 allows production teams to offload media from their P2 cards and free up valuable solid-state real estate. Users can do cuts-only editing and shot marking in the field, viewing content on the 9in. widescreen LCD. I/O options include HD-SDI, IEEE 1394, and USB 2.0. Via an optional board, the P2 Mobile will support the new AVC-Intra 50Mbps and 100Mbps 10-bit codecs.
