Call it Grass Valley Edius Pro 4.0. Debuting at NAB, version 4 of the software drops the Canopus product name after Thomson completed the buyout of the Japanese company prior to the show. (Canopus still functions as a business unit within Grass Valley.) So what's in it for you? New features such as multicam support, nested sequence editing, improved trimming tools, and keyframe support for color correction. Of course, there's support for the new Grass Valley Infinity and other tapeless acquisition systems, as well as the latest storage technology, such as the Grass Valley/Iomega REV Pro disks.
