Intensity

HDMI is emerging as a low-cost alternative to HD-SDI, and Intensity is a new capture/playback card that lets editors exploit the interface's possibilities. Connecting to any PCI Express-compatible PC or Mac computer, Blackmagic Design's affordable editing card allows editors to capture ultra-high-quality uncompressed data from HDMI-capable cameras. With a suitably large and fast disk array, facilities can use Intensity to capture direct from the chips of HDV camcorders such as the new Sony HVR-V1U. Intensity works with QuickTime- or DirectShow-based apps such as Apple Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Adobe After Effects.
