In the past, Sony had never specifically targeted the rapidly growing digital-signage market. That changed late last year with the introduction of its first HD LCD screen for digital signage, the 52in. GXD-L52H1. With its native 1920×1080 resolution, the dust-resistant casing features a heat management system that does not require ventilation holes. It mounts in either a portrait or landscape position, while the protective-glass screen means the display can be mounted at eye level in environments where an additional, cost-increasing casing would normally be required.
