Continuous improvement is the name of the game if you want to stay on top of the highly competitive monitor market. Panasonic remains in that game with the delivery of an impressive studio and field production LCD monitor, the SD/HD BT-LH1700W. For starters, it has a noticeably thinner profile and lighter weight when compared to the previous series. The 17in. monitor runs off AC or DC and offers high-speed response time with no blurring. The panel delivers 1280×768 WXGA resolution, as well as adjustable color temperature and gamma. There's even Cine-Gamma compensation, specifically designed to monitor Panasonic's VariCam HD Cinema camera. Other features include two auto-switching SDI/HD-SDI inputs and one SDI output, along with component, PC RGB, Y/C, and composite inputs.
