Prompter systems need to be hardy if they are to handle the rigors of on-the-go ENG-style shooting. That's just how Vinten positions its new lightweight and portable Vision iScript teleprompter system — tough enough for constant handling. The Windows XP computer that controls everything, for example, is built into the prompting screen provided by another supplier, Autoscript. The system, which uses a heavy-duty Vinten fluid head, employs a 900MHz wireless scroll control so the only cable necessary is the power cord that powers the prompter from AC or batteries.
